W 93rd Avenue will be closed in the East bound direction only between Olcott Avenue and Keilman Street commencing on or after July 15th through August 12th. The West bound lane will remain open aside from short periods of flagging. Periodic lane shifts will also take place. Detour signs will be posted directing East bound traffic south down Olcott Avenue to W 97th Lane and East to Wicker Ave. Access to Prairie West Park will be from the East only. The purpose of the partial closure is to allow utility installation and pavement widening while providing safety for the workers and motorists.
The CSX Railroad will be conducting track and crossing repairs commencing on July 10th at approximately 9:00 am and running through July 15th. During this time vehicle access will be closed and a detour route set up by the railroad. Please notify all personnel in your respective department’s as well as all agencies you would normally notify of a road closure. Geographically, the CSX tracks are the eastern set of tracks that intersect 93rd Avenue. The particulars are as follows:
CSX Crossing, on 93rd Avenue, will be closed on Wednesday, July 10th, 2019 at around 9:00 a.m.
Crossing will open on Monday, July 15th, 2019, in the am.
CSX will set up a detour route as follows: Hart Street to Thielen Street to Joliet Street. Motorists can utilize Hack St. if returning to 93rd ave.
